Latinam Nox atra rerum contegit terrae colores omnium: nos confitentes poscimus te, iuste iudex cordium,
Amen. |
English The black night of things conceals the colours of all things of the earth: We confessing ask Thee, Just Judge of Hearts,
and the sordidnesses of the mind, may Thou wash away, and may Thou grant, O Christ, grace so that sins may be kept away.
the noxious fault takes hold upon it; dark things, it is eager to lift and Thee, O Redeemer, to seek.
from within, as much as possible, so that he may rejoice for himself to be placed in the blessed light.
and to Thee Father, Glory with the Spirit Paraclete, in everlasting ages. Amen. |
