Latinam Nox atra rerum contegit terrae colores omnium: nos confitentes poscimus te, iuste iudex cordium,
Amen. |
English The black night of things conceals all earth's colours: We confessing ask Thee, Just Judge of Hearts,
and the sordidnesses of the minds, may Thou wash away, and may Thou grant, O Christ, grace so that sins may be kept away.
the noxious fault takes hold upon it; the darkness, it is eager to lift and Thee, O Redeemer, to seek.
that which is within, especially, so that in the blessed man, he may rejoice for himself to be placed in the light.
and to Thee Father, Glory with the Spirit Paraclete, in every age. Amen. |
